1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Spaced Learning app and website (“Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not use the app.


2. Use of the Service

You may use the app for personal, non-commercial learning.

You agree not to:

  • reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the app
  • use the Service for unlawful or harmful activity
  • interfere with the app’s functionality or security

We may update or modify the Service at any time to improve performance, security, or user experience.


3. Accounts and Data

Using Spaced Learning may involve storing information (name, flashcards, review history) on:

  • your device
  • your private iCloud database (if sync is enabled)

You are responsible for:

  • the accuracy of information you enter
  • maintaining access to your Apple ID
  • keeping your device secure

4. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Premium features may be unlocked using in-app purchases or subscriptions.

4.1 Billing & Cancellation

  • All purchases are processed securely by Apple App Store via your Apple ID.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Settings.

4.2 Refunds

Refunds are handled solely by Apple according to App Store policies.
We do not process or manage refunds directly.


5. AI-Based Features

The app includes optional AI-assisted features.

Apple AI

  • Runs entirely on your device.
  • Your card content stays on device.

ChatGPT (OpenAI)

Only when you explicitly select ChatGPT as the evaluation engine:

  • the text of your question and answer is sent to OpenAI
  • no other personal data is transmitted

By enabling ChatGPT, you agree to OpenAI’s applicable terms.


6. User Content

You are responsible for all content you create in the app (flashcards, notes, attachments).
You must ensure you have the legal rights to any content you upload.
We do not claim ownership of your content.


7. Privacy

Your privacy is extremely important to us.

The policy explains what personal data is collected, how it is stored, and how you can export or delete your data.


8. Limitations of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

We are not liable for:

  • data loss caused by device issues or iCloud sync failures
  • interruptions due to network connectivity
  • inaccuracies in AI-generated answers
  • indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

You use the Service at your own discretion and risk.


9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it and removing your data via the Data Control section.


10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves.
Updates will be posted on the website and referenced in-app.
